How To Save Money When Buying Inkjet Cartridge

!±8± How To Save Money When Buying Inkjet Cartridge

A lot of cartridges today are cheap but tend to fail after a few uses. Also, these dirt cheap products tend to damage printing machines so buyers have to exercise vigilance when shopping for a new inkjet cartridge.

Tip 1: Always check reviews and customer ratings first before buying.

When buying printer cartridges that are right on the money, it is important not to focus only on the initial price. Many consumers make the mistake of comparing only the initial price of products without considering other factors. One factor that should also influence your buying decision is customer reviews and ratings.

The store you are buying it from should have good customer reviews and ratings when it comes to the products they are distributing. You would not want to end up paying a lot of a branded cartridge that will fail on you after a few uses. Make sure the reviews are more than 90% positive so you can be assured that their products are of top quality.

Also find out what other customers are saying about the store's over all service. Are they accommodating? Do they handle consumer complaints professionally? What do irate customers have to say? Make sure they have excellent customer service to make sure that you are really getting the most out of the money you spend.

Tip 2: The inkjet cartridge you are buying should be protected by a money back guarantee.

If this is your first time buying from the store, make sure they offer a money back guarantee. The companies that are confident about the products they are selling are more than willing to give money back guarantees. You should be able to test it out for a few days to find out if it will really work. Otherwise, you will just be wasting money on a piece of junk. To make sure that you are really buying quality cartridges, it should have undergone rigorous trials and tests to conform to ISO production standards.

Tip 3: Buy online.

Many people think that buying online is the best solution when trying to cut down on expenses. This is true! There are a lot of online stores that offer cheap Canon MP480 ink or cheap ink cartridges for Lexmark and other brands. If you order by bulk, you might even save more on shipping and handling since some online stores offer free shipping and handling for bulk orders. In addition to that, reputable online stores selling inkjet cartridges have a money back guarantee feature for these products. If the products do not turn out to be quite as good as you expected them to be, you can either get it replaced with another product of equal value or you can get your money back.

Buying online is also more convenient. You no longer have to leave the comfort of your home just to place an order on inkjet cartridges. And with the security feature that is now in place in trusted online stores, you can rest assured you are having a safe and fast online transaction.

Tip 4: Buy multi-pack cartridges.

They are usually sold in a much cheaper price compared to buying one inkjet cartridge at a time. If you frequently use your printer to print out documents or you are installing your printer in your office, it would be better to buy the multi-pack cartridges to take advantage of the discount.

Tip 5: Ask the store if they are currently running ink promotions.

If there is a specific ink retail store that you go to regularly, you should check if they are running promos on their cartridges. If you buy sets, they will give one for free.

Tip 6: Choose the right cartridge.

Just because the price is cheap does not mean you should buy the product. Branded products are expensive but they last longer. They are also less messy and they do not damage your printer. If you buy the cheap ones, you might have a hard time maintaining and repairing the printing machine. In the end, you would have to spend more money on it.

If you are on a tight budget, you can always go for the remanufactured ones. These are remanufactured branded cartridges sold by third parties. They are cheaper than the original ones but they are still reliable.

These simple tips can help you find the right inkjet cartridge whether it is cheap Canon MP480 ink or cheap ink cartridges for Lexmark printers. Shop at stores that can offer a better value. You might also want to compare prices before sealing the deal.

Canon Ink Absorber - How To Clean It

!±8± Canon Ink Absorber - How To Clean It

If you own a Canon printer and are looking at this article, chances are you just got the "Waste ink absorber is full" error, or something similar, and have no idea what it is or what the printer expects you to do. Unfortunately, or fortunately, you are not the only one with this problem and there are ways to solve it. If you call Canon support, they will promptly tell you to bring the printer for servicing, that doesn't help, however, when you have a report or resumé to print by tomorrow.

Firstly, it might be important to note that the waste ink absorber is a little pad that sits under the cartridge's "home" position and collects any loose ink that may be on the cartridge. This prevents smudges, so it's a good thing to have. Many ink jet printers have them, but as far as I know, only Canon PIXMA printers display an error when a certain internal counter suggests that the ink absorber may be full. If you've done a lot of printing, the ink absorber may actually be full and you might need to have it cleaned or replaced to ensure the best printing quality. However, if you haven't printed that much or you have and you just need to print something right this minute, there is a way to reset the counter and stop the error from showing up again. Until the counter reaches a certain unknown point, that is, in which case you'll have to repeat the procedure.

Unfortunately, the instructions for resetting the counter differ from printer to printer and again, as far as I can tell, are not mentioned in the manual. People have been able to figure out how to do it, however, and there are instructions online for many printers. Searching for your printer model and either "ink absorber" or "used ink tank" should provide you with a few links to check out. Almost all of them are pretty easy to follow, albeit contrived and not easily discoverable on your own. Once the counter is reset, you should be able to print again.

If the ink absorber pad in your Canon is indeed full, you might want to replace it. Having it serviced is generally not a good option, since it will likely cost almost as much as the original cost of the printer and is not covered under warranty, since it's considered normal wear and tear and not a defect. Canon will, however, sell you a new ink absorber that shouldn't be too hard to replace. The number to call, in the United States, is 732-521-7230, which is their New Jersey parts center. They are open Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 8:00pm EST and should be able to sell you a replacement. You can also try to clean the ink absorber on your Canon without replacement using tissue to absorb as much ink from the absorber as you can.
